This Is For The Dreamers

Lisa  a stable lady with almost everything a man would need in a woman. A maisonette that nobody bought for her, she built it herself, cars and her business. She defines beauty, all from her toes to that curly natural hair. Curvy and not so thick, just the size you'll like or admire. She broke many necks whenever she walked past fellow vertebrates. It's true that not only men admired her but also women, most of them gossiped, most of them wished they would rather be her, some thought the creator was somehow unfair to in giving her all, everything. She was brilliant and wisdom had flooded her brains. She was so lovely. But.. Lisa wasn't so confident. Maybe it's because of the environment she was brought up in, or maybe her genes, her nature. She had few friends, her only brother and a former college friend. English would describe her as bipolar. Most of the times you'll find her alone, she enjoyed her own company.

After graduating from the university of Johannesburg with a first class owners degree in Commerce, she felt like the world wasn't oblate spherical anymore and with more people that she knew. This is never favorable for someone of her condition. Under normal circumstances, a graduate of her level will set out on the roads to look for a well paying job, probably accountancy in one of the most remarkable Banks in the continent. Her brother, Vinnie, would occasionally urge her to go ahead and apply for several opportunities that would pop up on screen or the internet. Lisa seemed so reluctant on this issue. She had her own plans. She had been saving a little portion of her pocket money since she joined University. Good to go, she started her own travel agency. To start with, she bought two buses, that cost about 120,00$ each. She called it Safari Royale. It was a special company and offered a variety of services with entertainment and other personalized services.
It was clear to everyone that she had saved too much since she didn't apply for any loan. Her business easily gained acceptance in the local market due to her good managerial skills and professionalism in the area. Eventually, she expanded her business within the first two years of being in the industry. Lisa was in her late twenties. She was her own boss, had several properties; her net worth had risen to about 600,000$. Someone who was close to her would say her life was perfect. But.. Lisa was now growing old. A woman of her age was supposed to at least be in a stable relationship or already married. The thoughts of having a husband eventually clouded the big eye of the sun. She started feeling some sort of pressure, both from within herself and from her brother Vinnie who was now married and with two bouncy twin baby boys. Did I forget to mention the community? All, all, all women of her age from her neighborhood were in their houses, not the ones they have bought or built for themselves, I mean their homes like they were all married, bathing, dressing and eating from the sweats of their husbands. Lisa had to do something. The world has been unfair to her 'cos of her extreme beauty and the fact that she was bipolar. Men feared her, her standards and level of education. Away from her neighborhood, men thought to themselves that there MUST be a man behind all this success and beauty.

" You can't be beautiful and single, no, it doesn't work that way especially in this continent."

Brian, one of his most hardworking employees had a glance at her personal life. He had served as one of the bus driver from when the firm was installed. Lisa liked him for his hard work and loyalty. She promoted him and increased his salary overtime. Brian finished high school but didn't secure a place in one of the local universities. He decided to do music alongside taking a certificate in Information Technology under self-sponsorship. He dropped the certificate and started to pursue music. Music was doing well for him except that he wasn't getting enough support from the industry. With his little savings, he went for driving classes and secured a certificate from the National Transport and Safety Authority. Lisa read his application form and CV and was a little impressed.

With the pressure going on he had to seduce Brian by all means  After all, Brian had everything that Lisa would define in her future husband though he was broke as hell. Brian feared (may be shy) Lisa since she was her boss and Older than him. And she would act as a sponsor if they ended up dating.

In her fourth year of business, she promoted Brian to serve as her deputy chief of all operations. Brian knew right that 'Boss' had a reason for this since over the past few years, not months, she's been getting closer to him but still she hid her feelings right behind that beautiful face. He understood her nature probably better than everyone else except for her brother and her only friend. So he set out in a mission to talk her out. One day Brian pulled the curtains of her office. She welcomed him in with a smile. He appreciated her for her gratitude, empathy and compassion. She thanked him back with a smile that touched his heart. They locked eyes. The office went silent for a moment; you couldn't even hear the roaming sounds of the CPU. Pause a second, someone must have been really waiting for this moment. Most of the subordinates were busy with their respective assignments so she didn't expect an intruder sooner. Brian was in love but didn't want to admit it right on that day. Thanks to his patience. "Yeah, thank you so much boss, I gotta go and speak to some clients who are..." "Brian wait!" she interrupted while getting on her feet just when he was about to open the door. This was her first time to call him Brian. Weird, right? He's used to hear her call him Mr. Unga as was his surname. Brian knew right what was about to happen so he didn't want to fail as a man. He decided to do it before she did it. " Madam, I..." But before he'd say more words, Lisa went down on her knees right in front of him, picked a bunch of keys from one of her drawers and gave to Brian. "I am not feeling so well so please tomorrow you be in charge, if you need anything you can call," she uttered, starring at the window. Brian was confused. Okay, we understand. "Lisa, what's wrong madam? I can help take you to the hospital or something please?" He asked while moving closer to her. She said no word, turned around and grabbed Brian's arms. Brian still didn't want to let her speak her feelings first. This day, they called each other with first names as if they were kids again. " Lisa, I have been having a certain feeling ever since we started working together. Because every long lost road, led me to where you are; every other woman in the world, is like the northern stars, guiding me on my way, in to your loving arms, this much I know is true. God bless all roads that led me straight to you. You are the one I wanted to find, to tell that I need you all my life. I love you, just the same way I first went on the long roads on my own, frightened but reckless. I want to see your wrinkled face sitting right across my chair, reading a book with your effortless legs on my lap. I won't stop the respect as my boss, but away from work, I'll call you, mine,my love. Now My love, hold my hands, I want to grow old with you." She hugged him, and continued crying on his shoulder. She was a little overwhelmed. " My love, from this minute, don't you ever call me Boss, it irritates me. I'll be under your service as your woman. I love you so much Brian, I've been feeling shy to talk my feelings out since I didn't know your possible reactions of which might have broken my heart. Today, let's go home Brian." This was the day of their lives. Love is a wonderful feeling to share with that one “special person” for the rest of your life. At times there are many things one wants to say to his/her partner but cannot find appropriate words, appropriate time, to fit in. In the evening, she drove him to her home, they had supper and both slept on her bed. Lisa asked Brian to permanently move in since the house was big enough to accommodate other ten individuals comfortably. But Brian being the gentleman he is, admitted that he's been saving part of his salary and wanted to buy a bigger house once he found love. And now that love is here, he's gonna break the savings box. They had discussions here and there and Lisa agreed to add some cash so that they can buy a more beautiful home. They also agreed to rent her house and the cash received from rent will be put as savings. Together, they expanded the business and even opened more branches in other countries. The business name was eventually changed to Tezo Digital.............(to be continue)
