DESTINY OF LOVERS
The destiny of lovers. Yes, the destiny. Do you believe in existence of a destiny, do you believe in existence of fate, what about fortune?
After various occurrences in my life, and also some of my friends, I now have a strong belief in the existence of destiny, especially destiny of lovers.
Ever since I was young, I've been doubting these five words, "we were meant to be." It's a common sentence especially among the youths. About thirty percent of those who say this always mean what they say, the other percentage might just use it to win hearts or because they heard it from a friend. Some use it because they were advised to. What I'm trying to say is that not everyone who tells you, "we were meant to be," is declaring their true feelings and I know some of us know this and agree with me.
The destiny of lovers to me is love that was predetermined and that's where the phrase *meant to be* comes from. There are people among us who were meant to be lovers and to be each other's life partner. Furthermore, the contrary.
On a religious perspective, Christians believe that God created a man and then from his bones, he created a woman who is to be his helper - life partner. There is a sense of predetermination in this context. Christians go ahead to believe that the man from whom the woman was created is her life partner. This to me means that God predetermines love and hence the destiny arises.
The question that remains unanswered is, why do couples divorce if at all they were meant to be? Ok, for the young couples it's different, the change in culture in the modern days is a matter of great concern. Note that this is not to justify that the young men and women should date everyone and break up with anyone, no. It's important for you to find your life partner when your time comes, take care of your body when you are still young.
Bunk Nyale, a popular love poet and relationship coach once argued that the destiny of love lies in the hearts of the lovers. He went ahead to say that the destiny can be changed, it can be built from grass scratch or destroyed from it's very peak. It's preset but it can be altered.
This, to some extent, can explain why couples divorce if at all they were meant to be.

It's a common question. How will I realize that the guy in dating is my destiny?
Let me tell you a short story about my friend Nicky. She's in her early thirties now and not yet married. She's really looking for someone to share her life with, a soul mate to give all her love to, a life partner to be there for her on times of joy and sorrow and the vice versa. Now it happens that Nicky is deeply in love with this man Willie. Will has been her boyfriend since they were undergraduates in highschool. Whenever she sees Willie excitement takes all her senses and she can't feel anything but lots of love for him.
Now the problem with Willie is that he's not a relationship guy. Ever since they started dating at a younger age, he's always cheating on Nicky. They break up then after few days he comes back again with all those sweet words and apologies and ultimately win her back. After a while again he cheats and the cycle starts over and over again.
What makes you know he is the one
First, believe his actions and not words. As I have indicated earlier, human heart is capable of changing the destiny. Don't be blinded by words of mouth.
Secondly, remember to take time to learn more about him or her before blindly falling deep in love. It's good to understand your partner before you marry fall in love, of course that's why people date.
Lastly, remember destiny is predetermined but human heart is capable of changing it at any time. Align yourself appropriately. Don't engage yourself in a relationship that you might wake up one morning unable to give birth with not even one child. Why, because you were blinded all those years and now your time is gone. My friend Nicky still have time though, the problem is, she still values Willie as her destiny. Do you think he really is?
